This commemorative exhibition honors our Chico icon, featuring works on loan by Sal Casa’s collectors, an installation of his studio wall, and a weekend sale of works from Casa’s estate Feb 8-9, 10am-4pm.

Visitors have a chance to see what studio artists, both regional and national offer up.

Experience Art & Design in Virtual Space

Opening Reception: Friday, Sept 6, 5-7 pm

The exhibition features art prints, graphic novel illustrations, comic books and wine labels enhanced with 3D animations and sound. Visitors use the iPads installed in our gallery to view animations and (sometimes) sound that is meant to enhance your viewing experience.

You may also use your personal smart device (iPhone, Android, iPad, etc.) to download the apps listed on the wall labels to experience the exhibition.

"By fusing two-dimensional visual art with computer-generated augmentations such as overlayed animations and audio soundtracks, the artists explore formerly flat and static imagery from varying perspectives and bring the viewer along for an interactive ride...

Chico Art Center is pleased to present the 2019 National Juried Exhibition. Juried by Sacramento 1616 Artspace gallerist Mima Begovic, the works are a rich mix of painting, collage, mixed media, sculpture and photography. Ranging across diverse genres, styles, and media, the exhibition presents complementary yet distinctly individual artistic sensibilities.
