25 Years of a Life Drawing Group

Reception: Friday, March 10, 5-7PM
This exhibit features work from an ongoing community of local artists, models and group coordinators who have continued the dedicated practice of filtering signal from noise, balancing figuration, the outlining of forms that matter to us, with what is relegated to background. Dedicated to the late Sal Casa, influential figure drawing instructor at CSU, Chico and Chico Art Center and a number of other talented local artists closely involved with CAC during Casa's tenure.

‘SIT INS’ in the Gallery
Saturdays, March 4 & 18, 1:00-3:00PM
Pose for the drawing group and take home a drawing of your choice with a suggested donation to Chico Art Center. Sitters may dress casual or in costumes of your choosing.
‘DRAW INS’ in Classroom #2
Wednesdays, March 8 & 22, 1:00 - 3:00PM
Try your hand at participating in a real life drawing group experience with a live model (probably 20 min. poses). Drawing materials are available. A quick 10-15 min. overview on basic proportions of the body will be given.
