Explore Butte County is your host for Butte County Museum Month! Visit museums, galleries, and cultural centers across the county all-month long.
Kick off Museum Month with the admission-free Museum Weekend, March 1 – 2, 2025. During Museum Weekend, all venues open 10am-4pm, with new exhibits and special programming at each location.
Weekend Activity at Chico Art Center:
Make & take small artworks!
Claim your Makers Cafē window seat on the iconic 1947 Great Northern Empire Builder railcar during Museum Weekend! Get your free ticket at the Chico Art Center and then come aboard the railcar. Passengers are welcome to play and experiment with an abundance of art supplies in our makerspace.
A guided activities will also be served up by local SkyCave Artists. Seating is limited but if you would like to reserve a table for a certain time slot, you can by going to the link in our @the.makers.cafe bio on Instagram.
Chico Creative Reuse will be giving free art supplies on Saturday.
